Another question...

I'd like to know if the topic of Sirens in the pick ups has been discussed before.
I did a search and got threads and classifieds for ambulances, and rescue rigs..

Mine was not either of those, but it has a siren mounted to the wheel well, and rigged to wind up and howl when you press the horn button.

Startled me a bit when I pressed the horn for the first time..
And the sound must have traveled for blocks.

It's obviously been there a long time..
And seeing as the truck never left California, I'm left to wonder what purpose it held.

It's definitely an old style siren, starting out low and really going at it in a few seconds.. reminded me of Andy and Barney in their Mayberry car..

Anyone?
