GO or NO?

Well...guys. Seems like I found a deal. Whatcha think? Yay or nay (for those classic gear head gurus). I know it will not require smog, but will placing a later engine effect this waiver? Let's see if it's still in the market.

1967 Chevy SWB Truck

In a nut shell, it’s a 1967 small-window, short bed, fleet side truck that looks good, runs and drives great, daily driver reliable, with a cut dash, and a funky looking bed… it’s not perfect, but is a ready to go short bed Chevrolet truck for $4000.

This truck was my daily driver until yesterday, and just completed a 2400 mile road trip last week. I'm selling the truck, because I just bought a 1966 Nova 2 door coupe to replace it... and the wife said that either my mistress, the truck, the 1965 Chevelle Convertible, or the 1962 Corvette had to go. Unfortunately, the truck drew the short straw. I’m not interested in a trade, and I really don’t need to sell it, because my driveway isn’t full yet. My price is fair and firm. There is no point in wasting either of our time with ridiculous offers.

The truck is an original short bed small window '67 truck. It originally was a original 6 cylinder / powerglide combo that's been upgraded with a late-model 350 engine and a TH400 transmission. The truck has front 5 lug disc brakes, and a 5 lug 12 bolt rear. The engine has headers and an aluminum Holley intake, with a new, electric choke 600 CFM Holley 4 BBL carb.

The good:
Over-all good looking older truck, with the right look... you'll look and feel good driving it, without worrying about a paint chip or other blem.
The truck has an excellent nose/grill, doors and fenders, new front bumper, new hood hinges, new vent windows, new windshield, and new driver side door hinges.
Truck runs and drives excellent, and laughs at L.A.'s traffic.
The rotors, drums, and wheel cylinders are new.
It has 15X8 rally wheels with new 10.5 X 31 Radial tires, and new front shocks.
The truck has a later model sway bar, with new bushings.

Wipers, heater, all lights, and turn signals work.
I replaced the stock seat with a RARE factory fold-down seat... great for storage and keeping items out of sight.

The bad:
The dash has been cut, but I have an excellent, uncut dash to go with the truck.
Bubba got his hands on the truck bed long before I owned it. The truck was bracket raced many years ago. See pics.
Truck has a GMC tailgate, and it is a little rough.
Truck has the usual inner/outer rocker rust these trucks all seem to have.

Feel free to ask any questions, or to stop by and check out the truck.
