Rear Pinion angle and shims

Just working on getting my driveline aligned on my 67 last night. It is about a 4/5 static drop and it appears the rear end is going to need some serious shimming...like 9 or 10 degrees. Anyone else have to shim that much? I am running stock 3/4 trailing arms with 5 inch drop springs and shock relocaters. It has a 454/T5 transplant and single driveshaft. It seems a bit excessive to me...? What are you all running for shims? or anything? I wouldn't mind putting an inch drop block but my driveshaft would make contact in the crossmember hoop I think. Its pretty close.
