It's never easy !
Hey ,yea its been a while ,hope all you cool cats are doing good. So after driving my truck around this summer I decided it was time to do some work on her.
So today I decided to split my brake lines and swap in a dual master cylinder , yea still have NOT done my disc brake swap and no Chief still haven't swaped the rear end this recesion bites. Of course it was hot, that should have been the first sign that things would not go well. I removed my old master no prob added a M/P plate to cover up the extra hole ( 60-62 manuals used a hydraulic clutch and a dual master with 3 bolt holes) drilled the extra 3/8 hole all cake so far. I knew I would have to mod the push rod so I took it out set it aside to deal with it at a later time.Bench bleed the master all good. Mount it to the firewall and notice I will need a fitting that points down to clear my clutch master cylinder no biggie I'll hit up Royal Brass in the A.M. Jack up the truck locate the "T" fitting soaked it with WD40. After a few I place the flare nut wrench on the rear feed line and .............. yup its a no go !I could not get it to budge . Ok what ever I'll just remove the front lines off the "T" and add a cupler to them and feed the rear thru the "T" with a new line an plug. That one dosn't lossen either. So yes there is a question in this rant: What should I do? any tips on getting (and saving) the rear line lose? Replace all the lines and t's? Man this was suposed to be so easy, but it never is
