Q-jet rebuild and Ruggles book

I know that the pros and cons of various carbs have been debated at length here, and that each of us have our own reasons for going the way we do. Having said that, I THINK I've decided to stay with my Q-jet, and get Cliff Ruggles book and kit for the rebuild, and send him my throttle plate for the busshing refit. My question is, have any of you used his book to rebuild your own q-jet? What did you like/dislike about the book and / or process? Is his book any better than the factory overhaul manual (which I have)?

Any other advice you might offer would be great.....like, should I have my head examined for even thinking about it?!

Thanks all.
