M1009 update

The starter was screeching like a banshee, so I bought some shims. Turned out one starter bolt was broken off in the block. I took the starter off and the front drive-shaft for room to work. I got a drill in there with a good sharp drill bit, the ez-out lived up to it's name. Got the starter reinstalled with the one old and one new starter bolt, now the 6.2 busts off smooth and quiet.

This thing runs like a top and has plenty of new parts on it. The radiator shroud has chalk marks that show last service 9/9/09 so I'm thinking it may have been in service up until that one starter bolt broke.

My lucky break. Too bad they didn't try to fix it, or I should say I'm glad they didn't try.
