Power stearing and Disc Breaks upgrade

Hello everyone, I was thinking about the different things I want to do to my 1970 Chevy in the next couple of months, and I thought Power Stearing and Disc Breaks was a good place to start (after my other plans, tearing out the motor to reseal the engine and clean the engine bay), I am just curious I have heard so many different price ranges on the cost to do both these options, so what do you think:

-Where is the best place to get the parts for my power stearing, I want to do this on a budget, so should I go used or new? How much should I be looking at paying just for the parts(new/used)? I will be doing the work myself.

-Where is the best place to get the parts for my power disc break, I want to do this also on a budget, so should I go used or new? How much should I be looking at paying just for the parts(new/used)? I will be doing the work myself.

Please give me your advise, I want the truck done right, I am on a budget, but I also don't want to have to re-do the job in another couple of years.

I really appreciate your input.

Thanks,
