Go new Repo or rechome factory bumper?

The chrome bumper on my 1986 K30 is showing it's age and starting to show that hazy cloudy look though is in good shape. I'd like to have something a little better looking and trying to decide if I should just buy one of the new repoduction triple chrome plated (5 yrs warranty) bumpers (I hear are not as heavy duty) or rechome the one I have on the truck.

Has anyone tried the bumpers and what are the thoughts on how good/bad they are and hold up.
