V8 350 small block experts Help

The 350 came with my 65 C10 so I did not put it together. I pulled the plugs and spun the motor over and got water out of #8 cylinder. So I'm thinking blown head gasket even though the PO said it was running fine and only had 5,000 miles on a rebuild. I pulled the intake and this is what I found.

It appears that the water came in through the carb and sat on top of the intake valve until I spun the motor over. However I noticed that the water jacket port was blocked off and the intake manifold, an Edelbrock 2101, did not have a matching port is this normal? Question 2, the small fitting on the right, is this the connection for the oil pressure gauge?

Thanks
