GMC 305 V6 Rebuild with pics

First off, If you've done this...GIVE ME TIPS! I have several 350 rebuilds under my belt and the newer LS style ones too but I realize this is going to be harder (I assume) to find parts for and all that....I have another thread where a few guys gave me some good tips on helping it run better as far as changing the intake and carb setup...

Basically just a 305 V6 out of a 1964 GMC Suburban. It spun a bearing about 7 years ago, pulled it and set it on a pallet under a tarp up until today. Went and plucked it out of the woods.

I no longer have that '64 regrettably, but I'm rebuilding this engine simply because one day I WILL have another 60-66 (hopefully GMC stepside) and I'll drop this motor in it. I dont want just another 350.

Lots of pics, I'll be updating as I go. Feel free to leave comments or advice

I had to put the LS1 I had on the stand on the ground and get this one on the stand, and then I pulled the pan plug. Immediately the pan started gushing water, for about probably a full minute. The engine was full of water all the way to the top. ALl over my garage floor and driveway. cleaned that all up, and started breaking her down. Didnt have much time tonight but heres what I got.
