New guy, couple questions

I have a 68 3/4 ton 2x4 and I'm wanting to bag it to lay frame, ive been trying to find kits but they are all for 1/2 ton trucks, does this matter or am I gonna need to swap out for a 1/2 ton frame, i would like to keep it 8 lug. I'm currently deployed and Ive owned the truck for 6 years but its been at my parents house in Oregon for the last 5 and ill be going up to Ft Lewis next summer and I just kinda want a idea of what im going to do, after seeing all the build pics on here I cant wait to tear into it. I appreciate the help
