My new Purchase / 70 Chevy

After two long years of looking for a decent shortbed I finally found one....not. I came across this 70 big block extra long bed for $800 on Craigs List and decided to go take a look. After seeing how rust free the cab might be I still didn't want a 3/4 ton 8 1/2 ft bed.....however the guy said take it for $500 and I couldn't say no.






It apparently had dealer installed LPG and a hole cut in the bed (for access?). Don't know what I will do with it but there is no rust and I mean the rockers are great, the kick panels are solid and even the doors are good. The passenger cab corner had a nickel size hole from being damaged but other than that it is real solid. It even runs...although the gas tank doesn't fit the truck and apparently never had one....says the previous owner.







Anyone on here every build a 3/4 ton shortbed 2wd?....hmmm.
