reverse went out in the truck last night!

I reversed out of the driveway just fine last night to drop my gf off at work , got there and couldnt reverse out of the parking spot. i know my th350 trans uses the same clutches for 1st and reverse, so i know its going out all together real soon. Sucks, i was just about to do motor upgrades till now.

Might be pulling the trans out of one of my other projects, since its the same exact trans and it wasnt the trans i wanted to use in the car anyways, but i was real close to hearing it run too, so now id be backtracking on getting it done. But my truck is way more important than my "moneypit" is.

my only other option is to completely rebuild one of the other 3 cores that i have, would only take me a day, but then i am spending about 90 bucks to rebuild it, on top of the 30 for a case of trans fluid, and at least another 100 for a new torque convertor. That money just isnt available to me right now, and i need the truck back up asap. i dont think it would be wise to try and use the old converter in the new trans to try to save money.
ive been driving it but not far, and only when i need to, dont want to get stranded anywhere.

so you think i should take a chance on stabbing in the trans from my other project? it was taken from a running truck about 3 yrs ago and has been sitting in my project since then.
