1/2 VS 3/4 Frames...

Howdy All,

I attempted to use the search feature to answer this question but no luck.

Other then suspension is there any difference between the frames on these trucks?

While surfing another forum I saw some one take two frames that were the same, and use one to box the other. He used the same size frame though.

My pipe dream truck is 68 3/4 but finding two of those frame is next to impossible, specially in my part of the world (rust monster). I figure it would be easier to use a 1/2 to box the 3/4.

Any one able to give me some insight on this? Would it be just as easy to cut my own steel to box the 3/4?
