Re: Western 2.5" or Bell Tech 3.0" Drop Spindles????
Quote:
I cheaped out and used a set of new swap meet McGaughy's 71-72 spindles on my '69. If I had it to do over,... I would have bought 65-70 conversion spindles. I had to use 71-72 outer tie rods to fit my spindles and 65-70 inners to fit the center link. They are too different thread sizes. 71-72 are 11/16". The 65-70's are 5/8",... and the wrong thread direction. So I had to put 65-70 outers in the inner location. To answer your question,... the tie rod sleeves are call "conversion" sleeves from POL (www.performanceonline.com) $49.99. They also make standard sleeves for connecting the same size tie rods. Edelbrock and CPP actually make a lot better looking sleeves.
