Keeping the straight six!

Hey guys, most people go for the 350s or big blocks in there trucks(not that theres anything wrong with that) but i want to be a little different. I have a lowered 68 and i havent seen very many with the original sixs in them. I guess there is a reason for them becasue im having trouble finding some parts for my 250. My question is how many people worked there 250s and what did you do?

PS. when i bought the truck it already had a clifford intake manifold, holly 390 carb, possibly cammed(previous owner didn't know), full exhaust and HEI ignition. Any help at all would be appreciated
