New Guy

Hi all, I have been lurking the forums for a few weeks now. I have been through the entire picture thread and read up a bit on other subjects. I started my project at 16.5, and had to put a hold on it when I left for college.

It doesn't look quite like it does now in the pictures below, but not too far off. I had different plans for it then than I do now almost ten years later. It is a 1972 Frame, 67 front clip and iirc 70 Cab. It has factory air, disc breaks, power steering and most of the other factory goodies.

I have already dropped it 2/4 with the ECE kit, bought the engine previously rebuilt, and have some add ons ready to go including some repro corvette seats.

I recently got married and bought a house built in the 50s and the garage left a LOT to be desired. So much so though I wasn't comfortable bringing the truck down from my Dad's shop. I was recently hanging out and a Cobra club happened to be meeting at the same place as I was eating my BBQ. That gave me the bug so much so that I am framing out the interior of my garage with a false interior and new rafters so that it is more secure and can suit my needs.

I am hoping to have my dad load it up and haul it down within 2 months max. I am going crazy thinking about getting back to work. I already picked up a new compressor and started restocking the tools (My dad and I co-oped a bunch of our stuff, and I lost a bunch in a theft). Next up is a new welder and then it is time to get back to it.

Anyways that is my story, and then some. Glad to be (close to) back at it. I am looking forward to the input and help of the board.
