Funky Steering Issue
Hey guys, once again hoping that someone in Chevyland can help me out. Since building my truck the steering seems to be a bit off. It doesn't pull at all and it tracks and brakes straight, but it doesn't seem to correct itself like it used to. When you turn and let go of the wheel is stays in that position rather than recovering like it should. It seems as though I always have to return it to the center position. And on the highway I constantly have to adjust the wheel back and forth rather than just letting it cruise along.
I have recently put new ball joints in the front, upper and lower, as well as dropped spindles and coils (4 1/2" total). I also had an alignment done and as mentioned, it drives nice and straight. Is this just something that needs to "break in" or is there a fix.... any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
