Drip rail needs to be replaced...any suggestions?

Ok...the drip rail on my 69 C/10 SWB is rusted and will require to be removed and replaced. I checked LMC site, but is the SS Drip Molding Set the kit needed to replaced the current one (welded sheet metal drip rail) or it's a dress up item?? The kit cost $120, or I can pay $500 ish to have the top cut and replaced. Also, my interior kick panel (heater area on both sides) is rusted), any way to fix this? I also see @ LMC that they offer a Kick panel set, but is it only a dress up or an actual weld sheet metal kit?? Any suggestions???
