Should I buy this truck?

67 3/4 Camper Special.

Truly rust free. I could not find a spec of rust on it anywhere. That one pic of some slight surface rust near the rear of the front left fender is about it. It now has a different (supposedly rebuilt) 69 Impala 327 and a Turbo 400 with a leaky pan gasket. The original motor and trans are in the back of the bed. It fired right up, and ran strong with good oil pressure. Temp gauge and Sun tach aren't working. Truck needs some front end work, and alignment, and definitely brake work.

What's the verdict? It's 10-14 miles from my house. I have until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow before he relists it on ebay. I was the high bidder without meeting his reserve ($1825). "Buy it Now" price was lowered during the auction to $2500 and he says that's firm.

Can someone ID the rear axle for me BTW?
