Double flares are not horrible to make, just takes some practice. But you MUST get it right......it is your brakes after all.

I bought stainless lines which was over-kill here in California. Those lines are brutally stiff. Forget flaring them yourself without a $$$$$ flaring tool either. They even killed my Snap-On tubing bender. IMHO, don't bother.

Steel lines should work just fine, and are alot easier to work with.

Go buy a small cheap piece of line from Autozone and a inexpensive bender and try it out. Too difficult? Not much money lost.......
