Back in the saddle with a new old truck
Well after selling my 1968 gmc I had lost touch with this great board and the 67-72 forum. This past weekend while visiting the family my father handed me the keys and title to his 1978 C10 LWB Super Cheyenne! It has just over 200k, with the original 350 rebuilt at 160,000. I drove it back from Taos, NM to Albuquerque which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive and was quite enjoyable having a truck once again... It's snowing here today and maybe tomorrow, so I'll post some pics on Saturday if it clears up.
I do have a couple of questions. Does anyone have a vacuum line diagram for a non-California emissions model? It looks to have some of the emissions equipment although it is missing the air pump and vacuum line to the egr. When did catalytic converters start to be standard equipment? When I looked at the RPO label it did indicate something about a standard emission package if that helps. I'm sure I'll have more questions down the road... Thanks in advance.
