Played HARD: Nothing Broke!

Well, we went up to Silver Lake State Park yesterday for a day of playing in the dunes. It is a huge area where any ORV can go and play in the sand and the park borders Lake Michigan so you can go cool off whenever.
I lowered the Suburban's tire pressure to 8 lbs. each, mounted my flags and put it in 4 low and off we went. Most of the hills (dunes) are quite steep and then you crest the top and its right down again. The ol' Suburban made every hill, sometimes needed a couple of tries. At one point I had all four tires off the ground, not once--but TWICE! Didn't break anything luckily! Our 2 year old daughter said "I alright, daddy" then "do it again!", we had a grand old time.
Saw some very cool Chevy's from stock to WILD! GM's outnumbered everything else by a wide margin. Some of the newer sand rails have long-travel suspensions and are powered by Northstar powerplants! That'll cost you $40K +, but dayum--they rock!
Happy Independence Day everyone! Have a safe 4th of July!
