Well- It's official finally!
Friday night, I bought a 1989 crew cab dually in Chesnee SC. It was 9:00 at night, we were loading it on my friends trailer. We then headed to Commerce GA for the hotel we planned to stay at...and had a scary incident about 15 mles from Commerce. so after a good nights rest...we unloaded the Dually- and I drove it the rest of the way home yesterday.
It's a 89, 454/400, blue cloth(with all the wood, like it was a choo choo or something), working a/c and heat, power windows/locks(a couple of windows are slow), cruise(not working). Black piant over an originally a dark blue truck. had four new tires out back- fronts are ok for now. I don't know what gear it came with, or is in it now, but at 70mph, it reads about 83-85 on the dash....this is at 3300 rpm too!!! wow! I was concerned at some skipping it was doing on the interstate...but it cleared up as I drove...I'll be picking you guys' brains for alot of stuff I am sure. all in all....for 3200 bucks, I think I done OK for a fairly rust free truck. Pics coming later...going back to bed now.LOL
