Factory guage options and conversion question

I have a newby question, I searched but couldn't find my answer.

I have a 72 K-10 and the spid does not list any gauge option.

The gauge currently in the truck is a simple two gauge setup, speedometer and fuel gauge w/dummy lights in the middle section. It does have the under dash sun-pro gauge cluster as a nice aftermarket upgrade. lol

There was a another gauge cluster in the trucks toolbox, speedo, fuel, ammeter, water temp and oil pressure.

My first question is..what was the standard gauge setup on the K-10's?

My second question is...how hard is it to upgrade to the 7 gauge cluster if the truck did not come with it. I thought i read that the water temp and oil pressure was mechanical so that should be easy to retrofit. Only the ammeter gauge would need special wiring.

Is there a thread somewhere outlining the upgrade.

If it's out there i could not find it.
