new door WS?

before Thanksgiving, when the weather was still nice, i replaced the passenger side door WS. after these several months the door will still not close without force. not slamming, but a very hard push. and when opening the door, it almost springs open, as if in a bind.
the original WS was very distressed in that angle portion below the vent window.
i used silicon grease on that area, but it didn't make much difference.
i also moved the door out, via hinge adjustment, and that also made some difference, but not like it should be.
ideas?
