Bringing back the origional ride

What do I need to replace in order to bring back the origional ride and handling on my 34 yr old truck? Actually, an improvement in handling would be nice, but I'm mostly interested in improving the ride. None of the rubber (body or frame) has been replaced on the old girl, and I want to spend my money wisely. Anyone notice real improvement with replacing the cab mounts? As always, the help is appreciated and usually acted upon.
