Project: "THE CHEVY" 67 k10 lwb Trail Tuck
I bought this truck from a friend last spring for $300. Its a 67 k10 lwb 4x4, originally it has the 292, sm465, drum to drum brakes, small window, 12 bolt rear, 10 bolt front end. She was sitting in a feild for im guessing 15 years before my friend bought her and then sold it to me.
The plans are to build a trail capable bad ass off roading machine! I want the truck to be able to handle almost anything that the Black Hills can throw at it mud, rocks, hill climbs, hopefully almost anything. Eventually 4" lift, maybe 3" body lift for now, 35's, 14 bolt rear Dana 60 front, 2.5 coil overs front and rear, so that means shock hoops front and back, beefed up tranny, bigger motor, removable winch, bumpers front and rear. Ive spent the past year researching online and checking out what exactly what I want and slowly tearing it apart. The plan for the near future, basically get her driveable on and off road. That includes: new radiator hoses, swap motors, finish tearing apart spare 292 I6 new gaskets plugs, oil filter, clean out rust in gas tank, check fuel lines/ brake lines, clean carb, put some drivable tires on. And the list goes on and on Im a high school kid with a part time job nad an expensive girlfriend so this build is gonna take a while its going to be slow and meticulous. But ill keep you guys posted on my progress. heres a few pics of what she looks like now: Before by Mxracer202, on Flickr 67 k10 original I6 by Mxracer202, on Flickr Original 292 I6 by Mxracer202, on Flickr gunk inside the original 292 I6 by Mxracer202, on Flickr pulling the driver bedside by Mxracer202, on Flickr bed before hacking by Mxracer202, on Flickr all for now ill get some when it warms up.
