'56 3/4 to 1/2 ton...or is it already 1/2 ton?

I've got a conundrum I would appreciate some help with. Back before I knew anything about cars, I bought a '56 Chevy that's been Frankensteined together. The VIN and title say it's a '58, as well as the back bumper looks like a '58, but the battery tray, horsepower plate, and front end point to a '56. However, if the front end is correct, the fender emblems say 3600, meaning it's a 3/4 ton, and I haven't seen any 3/4 ton SWB trucks. The reason I ask is I'm going to refurbish the front suspension to get it back on the road and I need to know which parts I can use. The drivetrain is out of a '69 Olds Vista Cruiser, so it'll never be a true 3/4 ton anyways.

So my questions are:
  1. Where there ever 3/4 ton SWB trucks?
  2. If it is a 3/4 ton truck, can I just order 1/2 ton kingpins and bearings to put in the steering knuckles?
