Re: Decoding truck 1971

One last thing. Is there a simple way to decode what gear this truck has in the rear end? I need to find out so I know what cam to put in the motor. I see numbers NF3896838 and THA WO96 2 Thanks

Just looked inside to find a gear number. It is a 12 bolt cover and has a GM 8661 ring gear. I hope this helps
