very cool write-up. I also share the same concept on my vehicles. Simple and functional. I learned that once I bought my '06 Silverado. I bought it brand new and was really anal about it always being clean until it got a few paint chips. I sold it a couple years ago and I really like driving stuff I don't have to worry about appearance wise. Original, including all the faded paint and scrapes is more unique anyways. People, me included, will look twice at a nice painted ride, but I will STARE at original patina.
