CUCV dually recovery
This old truck thing really is a sickness. Been working on the 54 original mile dually I got a few monthes back but wound up selling the donor truck (can't keep everything). Stumbled across another one that belonged to the Pa DCNR. What the heck, a more complete donor truck that cost me about what I sold the running donor truck for. Actually talked to someone before bidding on it, didn't sound as bad as the description and was complete. Well, brought the truck home yesterday (first pic is of them trying to jump it but batteries deader than a door nail). Truck has 6 like new tires that aren't dry rotted, a spare, an unbent driveshaft (most of the GL trucks get moved around with forklifts), a nice interior, what looks like a "new" engine in it, all good glass, 3 of 4 D rings and a pretty fair body for a 25 year old 45,000 mile truck. Truck is complete under the hood and not missing alternators or the like. This has a Dana 70 rear, Dana 60 front, 4:56s, NP205, TH400, 6.2. Supposedly truck has a bad trans but does work in low. Definitely not a donor truck. Can't wait to see what's wrong with this one!
