Tubular Control Arms question

Could someone tell me if the tubular control arms are the same basic dimensions as the original control arms? I did a frame swop using a 72 c10 on a 56 f100 and the tracking is too wide, I bought the new modular drop spindles which brought the wheel inward an inch but I still need more as I only have 1/2" tire to fender clearance. I would like to run 18" rims 18x7 with
4.50 backspacing but the rim contacts the lower control arm taking a considerable amount of the turning radius from the truck. I was wondering if the tubular control arms would help solve my problem or can I safely modify my original lower arms. What would be nice is to see a tubular arm pictured beside an original but probably pressing my luck right.

P.S. I've got so much invested in this project I can't afford to stop if you catch my drift
