heater core fitment

I just bought a new heater core from NAPA for my 69 c10 without AC. I decided to buy one since the insides of my windows would always fog up when I turned on the heater, and soon would turn to ice. I have the original heater core (Harrison) which has tabs on the side of the core so you can screw it onto the heater box. The new one that I got doesn't have these tabs...

Has anyone gotten a heater core that has these tabs? If not how would it sit in the heater box properly upright? Or should I just save my money and flush out my original? If so what's the best way to do this?

Thanks for any input.
