Post What off this list , if anything, will fit a 72 off of a 98P/U?

Is there any chance that a fuel tank from a 98 Chev pickup will fit under the bed of a 72?

I bought a 700R4 from a guy, and he let me take the whole truck (1998 GMC). I am trying to determine what is worth removing from the vehicle before I take it to the scrap heap.
  • This is what I want to try to use:
  • Serpentine belt brackets and pulleys.
  • 700R4 with Cables and Lines
  • Drive shaft (will I need to get it modified? I have a 2 peice)
  • Master break cylinder and booster (My proportioning valve is pooched)
  • 350 (need rebuild)
  • Fuel tank (if it will work)

Let me know if you have had any experience with any of these swaps.
