Guys, How Difficult is it to convert from Long Bed to Short Bed ?

Hello everyone,

about 1 full year im looking and looking for the perfect truck near my area and nothing.. my perfect choice for a truck C10 to find is a 3speed columm with a short fleetside bed, nothing else and of course fully stock as much as possible. will be nice. but priority 3speed columm and shortbed fleetside.

Now i have found 2 guys selling a 70 and a 69 chevy with the 3 speed columm but damm they are both Long ass Beds.. . how in hell i can convert from long bed to short bed.

Do i have to cut the bed and make it short ? or cut the frame and make it short and find a short bed ?

Really i need the right way procedures to make a stock short bed ? and how much will be costing me to do the process ? i dont wanna take short cuts or been cheap, but i wanna have an idea how much will cost me and how hard will it be to do the work.

otherwise if its way too much out of my hand i mean by $$ than i will keep looking for a short bed fleetside with the old school 3 speed columm.. .
