As for wanting to end up with a 4x4 3/4T shorty, yes, you can do this by either getting a 1/2 4x4 and add 3/4 ton running gear, or getting a 3/4 ton 4x4 long bed and shortening the frame to short bed. Lots of threads here on others that have shorten. Like said before, you have to section the frame in front of and behind the the rear wheels.

The frame came from a parts truck I bought and it is 115 in wheel base and all the mounting points worked without modification so I think it is a C10 frame. The only thing I did was box in certain areas.
