New guy here with a few Q's......

Howdy ya'll.

I will start out by tellin you guys a little about myself. My name is Jason,31 years old and Im in the paint and body industry.

My rig...Way back in 1974 my dad traded a 1972 chevy pick-up for a 1972 K-5 Blazer.I was brought home from the hospital when I was born in this truck.Almost every found moment from my child hood revolved around this truck.I will spare you guys all the details, but I love this truck!I will own it as long as I live.

My Blazer has seen many years of use, along with many years of abuse.I have gotten this truck running several times, only to pull the mortor out to use in some other project or plain just didnt have the time to play with it.

The last time I started working on it,(about a year ago)I striped the interior of all the seats and carpet, took the front clip off, took the doors off and started repairing some rust. This past weekend I put it in the garage and decided it wasnt comming out till it was right.

Now for my questions....It need all the usual parts......rockers,floor patches, torq boxes....you get the idea.Where is the best place to get patch pannels?I have found many links on this site, but is there one better than the other? Also,Im not worried about keeping this truck perfectly stock,so can any one see a problem with me fabbing up some "sub fram connectors" instead of shelling out all that cash for torq boxes?

Thanks in advance!
Jason
