Re: "The Northbay G Machine" 1969 GMC shorty build
Cracked a piston in the 010 350 so time to rebuild it. Slapped in the old 307 and decided to try some ceramic mid length Chevelle headers I picked up off the bay for $150.
Time to use the mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust tubing, summit x pipe. and 40 series flows. also picked up a set of motor perches from cpp that I thought would help make some more room for the headers but ended up modifying them too ![]() I ran into problems with the z bar not having room to be mounted to the stock location and having real tight clearances between the header and oil filter. I modified the hell out of the original Z bar. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() here is a shoot of how much room i had to work with. ![]() ![]() Had to move my e brake cable slightly to clear the x pipe. worked great. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
