I thought I'd show a couple details on the running board mounts. The frame has a step in it where the frame seam overlaps where the front running board mount is.
That makes the front mount lower than the middle mount would be if you weld the middle mount directly to the bottom of the frame. So I added a plate to the middle mount to make it the same level as the front mount. Here is the middle mount installed along with the gusset made frome 1x1 tubing. Another point of interest for anyone considering going this route using the original rear mount. I think it might work out to swap the rear mounts side to side to help with the angle it hits the frame without as much cutting and bending as I had to do. I didn't think of it until I already had one side welded on (typical) but thought I'd mention it for an idea to consider for someone else. Might not work but worth checking into.
