Went for a walk in the woods today

and found something fairly old and rusty

Yup a 47-51 Suburban! Its down the road from my gf's house, she knows the old lady that owns the property its sitting on, been sitting there for 30 years or so. Unfortunately the body is not salvageable, besides the crushed roof, its has a lot of rot around the window frames and rockers, the passenger side is flattened(more). I dont even want to know how seethrough the side sitting on the ground is.

Really all that left for salvageable parts is the frame, not rot at all! 6 lug rear axle and torque tube, bellhousing, and of course perfect stainless dash trim. Also has a front sway bar and the original spiral shocks. Found fenders and the front in the heap around it.

I was really hoping it was salvageable as I've always wanted one of these. Also this is sunk in the swamp nearby, I wanted it for a street rod but lifting it up a bit revealed that what you see is what you get, the bottom half is completely gone. What can I do with half a cab? haha

Enjoy!
