Oil pan removal question

I have a 1972 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton with stock 350/350.
I need to reseal the timing chain and oil pan, can the oil pan be removed with the engine in the truck? Looks like it's pretty tight fit between the front cross memeber at the oil pan. This is my faily driver right now so I don't want to get half way into the job and realize I'm screwed!

Going to replace the timing gears/chain and oil pump while I"m in there, who knows how old the ones in there are!

Thanks
