Heat riser bypass

I am getting ready to do my exhaust. It will be all new, custom bent. I have rams horns and was wondering the easiest way to bypass the heat riser. I see the bypasses but have the truck at work right now and would like to get the exhaust done tonight, i.e. I dont want to wait for parts. I dont have a stock one either to fill the holes in and run.

What I was thinking of doing is flange the end of the pipe, like on a header collector and just running the heat riser gasket.
