Please help with my power steering upgrade on my 68.

So I pulled the old Saginaw out and it went really smooth. I have a power steering gear from a 73 ready to go in. There are pictures below. The old, manual steering gear has a portion of the shaft exposed while the power steering gear does not. Is this normal? The overall length appears to be the same so does this look like the right unit? Am I good to proceed? If so I am going to buy a new rag joint just to be safe. I have the dimple in the frame and I will be buying 4 grade 8 bolts. I just want to let you all see before I go for it, thanks.
