Sunday rant

OK , today was going to be a nice day to work on the truck.
installed the 2.5" lowering blocks, rebuild long arms, u bolts/etc
couldn't do the brakes as the rubber line and shoes are on order..
so I turn to the front, jack it up and stands,, get tools to change the th350 pan gasket/filter/rear seal.. as I have the drive shaft out.. from installing the 3 new joints and new carrier bearing..
so yay me, there is 2 pan bolts that are blocked by the crossmember, fine, unbolt the mount, jack up tail not enough room to get to the bolts, I could've got them off with 1/4 drive but would've been a royal p.i.t.a. to get back in.
no prob. I'll unbolt the crossmember and slide it back some..
most of the cars I've owned and even some trucks (s-10) 4 bolts and it's out..
8 bolts REALLY to hold a tail end of a tranny,, so 7 of those fight me the whole way, the 8th one didn't as it was AWOL..
the mount was missing one bolt for the crossmember and one to the tranny case.. didn't matter, it was toast, sheel and rubber not one anymore..
fine, so. that ended that, as no one has this mount and I have a energy sub tranny mount but that only fit the newer style 77 up
so. ordered that..
I figured on the tranny pan gasket taking maybe an hour. taking my time..
nope,, 2.5 tho. I did paint the pan..
can't finish anything as I'm waiting on parts..
oh well rant over..

how was your day..
