Finally got around to a compression test on the engine that will be going into the project. Tested on the stand, cold with carb and headers removed. All but one cylinder tested between 162 and 170. The one that tested at 155 was the last one checked and the battery was losing steam. I will check that one again after a charge. Even if the results are the same, That should be OK. I was planning to have the heads done before the install but perhaps I will run it as is.
I also removed the Torker II intake manifold. I will be using a performer instead. The alternator bracket that I am mounting needs another bolt, which will definately get into the water passage at the front of the head. Sealant should make that acceptable.
