Gordonr1973 Home Built '87 Join Date: May 2010 Location: Calgary, Alberta Canada Posts: 1,829	12 Bolt Rear axle gears a bit rusty I found a 12 bolt rear end with a posi...needs new brakes of course! But it has some rust inside the housing....any tips on how to clean it up or just run it for a day with gear oil then completetly change the gear oil out with new stuff and should be good??? Any other methods out there?
