Hey alp,steering wheel question

[67 chevy heaven]

Hey all,
I am looking at starting on my steering wheel. I am not sure if I should go with an aftermarket one or look for an original one and make the necessary repairs to get it hack to like new condition.
My biggest concern is im going with a dove gray interior. I guess i would have to find some sort of epoxy to change the s/w to gray. Can this be done or would I be better off going with an after market one like a grant with wood trim.
Your opinion is hreatly appreciated.
