1971 402 fuel issue?

I tried getting my 1971 Cheyenne 402 started today. Put on a new starter, put 5 gallons of fresh 93 octane in the tank, and put a good battery in it,

I can't get her running. She will run if I put some gas in the carb (over a dozens times I did this, thinking I could get her going), but than stalls. I changed the filter, she isn't getting gas.

Think the fuel pump needs to be replaced? I haven't started her in quite awhile.

Suggestions?
