72 shortbed...

currently building this fleetside for a customer. Eddy (son) and Jess (pops) approached me to install air-bags on there project. they had been having bad luck with all the other shops around town working on their project and decided to hand the complete project to me. so we are going to have some fun with this build.

currently the suspension is set in, but not plumbed. we used suicide doors and cpp. we did not want to modify a-arms or notch the frame so we sat is as low as we could without going to far.

the body needs the most attention, although front fenders and rad support are new, the cab is full of old body work that unfortunately will not be completely removed. the bed on the other hand is nice, minor metal work to the sides and a new tailgate and bed front panel will get that taken care off.

wheel choice is a tough one, while i never prefer 20's on any of my vehicles the father son team had their eyes on a certain look. so my first choice was American Racing Salt Flats but the budget will not allow. so a friend of Jess's offered him a set of Boss Wheels 336 in gray finish center (look like Shelby Cobras) in 20" size. so it looks like that is the route we will be taking. the backspacing (offset) is what we are having trouble with. the rear are 20x10 offered in only +38 and the fronts are 20x8.5 offered in +18 or +28; however! they are 5x4.5 bolt pattern so a wheel adapter is required of approx 1".

can anybody with more experience with the above shed some light on the subject for me?
